Third training short course for engineers associated with nation building departments under the auspices of Communication & Works (C&W) department and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) concluded here in local hotel at University Town Peshawar. Forty engineers both of public and private sectors from all over the province attended the course. Course Coordinator Engr. Fareeha Malahat and other experts apprised and trained the engineers in recent developments in bridge, dams engineering and environmental effects.
The concluding ceremony of the course was chaired by Engr. Zahid Arif, Secretary Communication & Works, while Khalid Pervez, Secretary Irrigation, was chief guest on this occasion and distributed certificate among the participants.
Addressing the function Engr. Zahid Arif, Khalid Pervez and Engr. Zulqarnain, Deputy Registrar, PEC, asked the engineers to focus on research, innovation and work hard in their respective fields that would not only enhance their professional and creative capabilities but it would boost process of national prosperity as well. Engr. Zahid Arif said training courses would be continued to equip engineers with latest skills and technologies in construction sector. Secretary Irrigation termed training a must for capacity building and professional skills of engineers as well as lauded role of C&W dept. in this regard.
